Koniag Information Security Services (KSS) was selected as an awardee on the Acquisition Visibility (AV) Capability Delivery and Support Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to support the OUSD(AT&L) and the Defense Acquisition Visibility Environment (DAVE). OUSD(AT&L) supervises Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and establishes policies to support it. OUSD(AT&L) provides effective supervision and improvements of acquisition processes and outcomes; and requires quality, timely, and accurate acquisition data. AV empowers DoD leadership with access to authoritative acquisition data and insights from analyses of that data so they can better report, analyze, and make informed decisions on the Department’s complex acquisition portfolio.
The OUSD(AT&L) Office of the Director, Acquisition Resources and Analysis (ARA), Enterprise Information (EI), has the responsibility to identify, obtain, manage, and enable timely access to accurate, authoritative, and reliable acquisition data supporting oversight of DoD’s acquisition portfolio. ARA/EI supports Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) and Major Automated Information System (MAIS) statutory and regulatory reporting and oversight requirements for ACAT I, II, and III program data via the Defense Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) system. In addition, the DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5000.02 establishes milestones that programs must pass to continue progressing through the acquisition lifecycle. Documentation required at these milestones is stored in the Acquisition Information Repository (AIR) and is a source of information to support analysis and decision making.
DAVE operates and maintains all development environments in AWS GovCloud. Koniag has transitioned the government’s Agile model to a DevSecOps platform by utilizing AWS GovCloud, implementing Infrastructure as a Code, developing a CI/CD pipeline, and ensuring security first at every stage. Additionally, our AWS environments support multi-tenancy so that multiple Dev, QA, and Demo servers can exist per environment without duplicating databases, proxies, and Apigee instances.
